Title
Tel Aviv: Housing, Bauhaus
Description
Tel Aviv has the largest collection of architecture in the International of any city in the world. This photograph is an example of housing built in the Bauhaus style, a style developed in pre-Nazi Germany. Because of the climate in Tel Aviv, the windows were downsized (Bauhaus architecture in Europe generally features a large window). This building also has many other features of the Bauhaus style, including curved surfaces, asymmetry and a lack of ornamentation.
