Title
Miami Beach: Aerial View, Residential and Hotels; Carillon Hotel
Description
The Sunset Islands were the last of the man made islands to be built in Biscayne Bay. During the 1920s a land boom fueled the creation of several man made islands in Biscayne Bay, but at the end of a decade it the boom ended and many realtors went bust. The Sunset Islands were developed by Stephen Andrew Lynch, an early motion picture pioneer. He was able to hold the islands undeveloped until the market stabilized in the next decade. The Sunset Islands are one of the most exclusive residences in Miami Beach and homes can fetch up to $10,000,000.
