Title
Florida: St. Petersburg Housing
Description
Seen here is a densely packed neighborhood in St. Petersburg, Florida. The settlement of retired folks has been observed to be in abundance for this area. Along with many declines in housing during Workd War 1, the Great Depression, and World War 2, there have been recent “booms” in housing as well. Not including the current housing “boom” that St. Petersburg is experiencing there have been two recent “booms”, one in the 1970s and one in the 1980s. This photo was taken in 1978, so this was around the time that the housing in the area was highly valued.
