Title

Everglades: Mangrove Tree

Description

Pictured is a mangrove tree situated in the marsh of the Everglades. This tree is especially adapted to survive in this environment as they can survive in salt water and fresh water environments. There are three species of mangrove trees that can be found in the Everglades. These include: the red mangrove, the black mangrove, and the white mangrove. These trees are essential for the Everglades ecosystem because they stabilize the coastlines and protect the environment from harsh storms and hurricanes.
