Title
Florida: Everglades National Park
Description
The Everglades National Park is a public park dedicated to the conservation and preservation of this natural habitat. The Everglades area once spanned 11,000 square miles, but the National Park only protects the southern fifth of the entire region. The idea of the park was put into action in 1928 by a landscape architect named Ernest Coe, and was eventually approved by Congress in 1934. After 13 years of collecting funds and support, the Everglades National Park was established.
