Radburn: Walkway Entrance
Description
The entrance to one of Radburn’s walkways is shown in this 1970 photograph. The use of walkway’s separates pedestrian traffic from motorized traffic, and has had energy saving consequences, encouraging residents to walk for local travel rather than drive. The walkways are derivative of the Garden Cities, which Radburn, and similar communities, were heavily influenced by.
