Netherlands: Northeast Polder
Description
Northeast Polder, a municipality in the Netherlands, is largely made of reclaimed land from Zuiderzee Works, which turned Zuiderzee into a freshwater lake, IJsselmeer, and lowered the water levels allowing for land to be reclaimed. This photograph shows farm land in Northeast Polder which is irrigated by dikes from IJsselmeer.
