Title
Rehovot: Koffler Accelerator at the Weizmann Institute of Science
Description
The Koffler Accelerator, completed in 1976, was built to study atomic particles. The design by Moshe Harel joins two towers, one which houses the particle accelerator, and the other which has a winding staircase (shown) and the building cables, pipes and other necessities of the building. The accelerator is topped with a unique egg shaped room that houses a laboratory and a visitors gallery.
