Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the National Congress Building is a masterpiece among the many of his works in the Brazilian modernist style. This unique layout separates the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies into two separate semi-speherical structures. Between them stand two large office towers. the National Congress Building is located on the Monumental Axis, the main street of Brasilia, and is photographed here from the Itamaraty Palace (The Palace of Foreign Affairs).
