Title
Jerusalem: Via Dolorosa
Description
This photograph is taken on the Via Dolorosa, a street in Jerusalem which is believed a section of the path Jesus walked on his way to his crucifixion. Traditionally it is the route from Pilate’s house to Golgotha, and there is a long tradition of Christian pilgrims following the route and meditating on the Passion. Via Dolorosa, as pictured here is a modern remnant of one of the two main east-west routes.
